But Do Not Know Him

Introduction
         Majority of humanity claim to know God, and describe others who are not members of their church as people who do not know God. The truth is that most of the people who claim to know God, do not actually know Him. Even among the reverend ministers, majority do not know who God is or what God is. All the people who claim to know God can be divided into four broad categories as follows:
  1. Those who claim to know God, but do not actually know Him. To know God means to see Him face to face, speak with Him face to face, to walk with Him, to relate with Him, to be in spirit with Him, to be recognize and respond to Him. The height of knowing God is to attain God, to experience Him and to become one with God.

  2. Those who do not know God, but actually believe that God exists. They only know His name. Majority of the world population belong to this group. Likewise, most of the world religions and churches, claiming to know God do not know Him, but only believe that He exists. The belief is counted unto them as righteousness because God is true. For example, Samuel believed in God, but did not know God. That was why when God called him, he could not recognize and respond to God, until Eli explained to him what to do.

  3. Those who believe that God exists, but are stubbornly disobedient to Him. Again, majority of the world population, religions and churches belong to this group. They disobey God because their religious beliefs and practices are man-made doctrines, which were formulated at meetings, councils, synods and conferences. And majority of the religions and churches claiming to be the best are indeed among the worst. It is indeed a pity that the general public does not know that such terrible things happen. And Jesus made it clear, saying,

    8 "These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
    And honor Me with their lips,
    But their heart is far from Me.
    9 And in vain they worship Me,
    Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"
    Matthew 15:8-9

    Another good example is that people say that God is holy, and the religions and churches teach the same. Yet, people and even churches do not observe the laws of holiness. The religious leaders are more interested in large membership than in doing the right things as commanded by God.

    21 "I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran.
    I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
    22 But if they had stood in My counsel,
    And had caused My people to hear My words,
    Then they would have turned them from their evil way
    And from the evil of their doings.
    Jeremiah 23:21-22

    Much of the present day religious worship is pretended peace, just as the Lord has warned on several occasions.

    The Lord says,
    "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you.
    (Do not follow religious leaders who are not directed by the Holy Spirit. )
    They make you worthless;
    (They are misleading you.)
    They speak a vision of their own heart,
    (They teach decisions made at their meetings, councils and synods.)
    Not from the mouth of the LORD.
    (Which teachings are not from God.)
    17 They continually say to those who despise Me,
    'The LORD has said, "You shall have peace"';
    (They tell their members that their church is the best.)
    And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say,
    'No evil shall come upon you.'"
    (Do not obey the messages from the Holy Spirit.)
    Jeremiah 23:16-17

  4. The fourth and worst group are those who believe God, but do not trust Him. People believe that God is a supernatural God, but when God moves in supernatural ways they do not accept it. You tell them what God said and they will tell you, “Our church does not believe it” some would say, “My reverend father or pastor said we should not do that.” And others would say, “That is demonic.” So I ask them, between what God said and what their church said, which one is true? Which one should be done?

    It is a very bad thing that even the religious leaders do not believe God and do not trust Him, because they do not trust the holy spirit. That is why they turned their ordination ceremonies into a session of ‘anointing and binding’ junior and upcoming ministers, instead of ‘anointing and handover’ of the new ministers. The religious leaders are expected to anoint the new and junior ministers and hand them over to the Holy Spirit, for the Holy Spirit to lead, direct and control the new and junior ministers. But the religious leaders would make the new and junior ones to swear an oath of obeying the religious leaders. The leaders are more interested in safekeeping their positions of authority and in defending their public honour than in doing what God says from day to day. This is terrible, and that is why many who parade themselves as ministers of God on earth, are counted as hypocrites and misleading wolves in heaven.

    Sometime in the past, I was delivering prophetic messages to a woman about her life’s conditions. The woman did not even wait for me to finish and started saying, “I reject it. I reject it. It is not my portion. I am a Pentecostal. I am a prayer warrior.” Yet, she has lived in this very way and hopeless condition for so many years, over twenty years. It took several attempts to convince her, before she opened up to say that she is not living in her husband’s house – she ran away from the house and even warned her children never to go to that house. That shows you how ignorant, proud and hypocritical people can be. The worst thing is that they do not even know they are on the wrong path.
